ABOUT ERIC  


Eric Horne
was born in Cornwall in 1938 and has been making collectors toys since 1975 in his workshop at Topsham. Working mainly in hard woods, which are turned, the emphasis is on fine detailed painting with many subjects covered. Originally making articulated Dutch type dolls.

Eric now makes a wide range of high quality collectable toys which he sells in both the U.K. and overseas. The dolls and toys have proved very popular on both sides of the Atlantic a good example of “hands across the sea”.

He is a member of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen who have a gallery and shop at Bovey Tracey in Devon and a fellow of the International Guild of Miniature Artisans in America who hold their annual exhibition in New York each February.

Eric has from time to time made dolls and toys for television and West End theatre productions. Recently two of his larger dolls made a brief appearance in Miss Potter, the dolls were in the dollshouse in The Tale of Two Bad Mice.
